12/31/2011 A Year in Review

The year is done. The department finished the year running fewer calls than last year down 13% with 686 vs. 791 calls. We ran an average of 1.9 calls per day. B-shift ran the most calls with 253 (37%) A-shift ran 241 calls (35%) and C-shift ran 192 calls (28%)

272 (40%) of our calls were Fire related calls. 267 (39%) of our calls were for some type of EMS incident, and the final 147 (21%) were dispatches that we were cancelled or we found nothing.

348 of our calls were within our own fire district. 263 of our calls were within the city limits of Raleigh. 75 of our 2011 calls were for assistance to other Wake Co. departments.

All in All a good year for the personnel and residents of our district.
