Icy roads lead to fiery crash on 540 Monday 2/20/2012
Units from Durham Highway, Bay Leaf and Falls FD responded to an early morning accident a rush hour traffic was beginning to build this morning. Multiple calls began arriving at the dispatch center for car fires and auto accidents somewhere between Creedmoor Rd and 6 forks rd. Upon arrival units found multiple cars involved and one of them fully involved in fire. Fortunately only minor injuries were reported. WRAL reported the accident on their website as seen from their helicopter.
